Based in San Francisco, husband and wife illustration and muralist team Ryan Chen and Stephanie Kunugi love the process of taking in a space, pulling from its elements, and designing work personal to it. They are energized by the stories of the design site and the people who make the space what it is and aim to incorporate those key elements into their pieces.

Their backgrounds in design, illustration, and education inspire them to create pieces that are approachable and fun for folks of all ages. Large graphics with punches of bright, happy colors often mark their work.

Murals are an area of specialty and are very meaningful to them. So much so that they got engaged at the site of one of theirs!
